I have had many patients over the years ask me why I became a chiropractor.  The answer is pretty simple.  To help as many people in my community as I can get healthier without the use of drugs or surgery.

When it all began…

It was after 8th grade when I grew 8 inches over the summer.  My knees hurt because of the rapid growth,  a disease called Osgood-Schlatter’s so I was put on medication to help.  I did not like taking the meds and felt like it was doing nothing.  So I had to have surgery on both knees to remove bone fragments.  I did one at a time and refused to use crutches so I walked funny and in turn hurt my back.

My dad (whom I love and idolize) said you should go see my chiropractor.  The chiropractor was a younger, cool guy who explained everything that was going on in my spine.  It made sense and I got my first adjustment.  It took several adjustments, but I got better and my knees even started feeling better now that I was in proper alignment.

So I started a weekly routine to see the chiropractor as I was a pretty good athlete in high school and definitely needed the care.  Soccer and volleyball took a toll on my body, but the crazy thing was I never had any major injuries like many of my teammates.  Even if I did get injured I recovered pretty quickly.  It was amazing!  Needless to say, I went on to be an All-State athlete in both soccer and volleyball and I contribute a ton of that success to the chiropractic care I received that kept me healthy and well.

I also learned that chiropractic goes beyond pain.  I thought more clearly, had better posture than most of my classmates, slept great as well as many other little things that I took for granted at the time.

When your spine is aligned and your body is allowed to function optimally you can see amazing benefits.  That is the power of chiropractic.

It is not always about pain, it is about allowing your body to express itself.  That was the greatest lesson I learned and I am so thankful for that.  Now I get to help people in the same fashion that I was helped and I love doing it.  The results are amazing, almost as amazing as the people I get to meet and help on a daily basis.

So thank you to all my patients who trust in me.  I will continue to serve you the best I can.  And to those who have not met me, I hope you visit soon.
